I agree with your sentiment. I think Epic has bad intentions at heart. Even if they had a native Linux store, I would still not buy anything from them. Nevertheless, I hope their aggressive practices lead to their competitors moving in a better direction.

I don’t use it too often, but the Heroic Games Launcher client for Epic Games works well for me. I only do basic stuff like downloading, updating, and playing games with it.

I made a comment similar to Michael earlier, and you helped convince me that the existing distros already have what I would want from a desktop SteamOS. I’ve been daily driving EndeavourOS for a few months now, and I’m really happy with it! I only need Windows for games w/o anti cheat support.

I think this menu is for turning it off for individual apps
To turn it off altogether, I think it’s:
