Normally after shaking hands with someone of Borgnine's legendary status I'd not wash my hand for a while. In this case, however...😂😂

Literally just replied to someone with 'not forgetting Ida Lupino'... 😱

Fantastic isn't it, so much to love. Coming after The Exorcist it does seem immediately old fashioned but for me that works in its favour. Great fun!

He really does, although to be fair Borgnine commits to any role! He makes a fantastic devil...

Great fun isn't it, it tends to slip under the radar but it holds up pretty well today. Borgnine is terrific, and don't forget Ida Lupino! 😱😁

Reckon it's due a revisit then, the satanised version is devilish fun...

That's the plan, my work here is done! 😂

It left me terrified on late night TV as a kid. Now less so, but it's still got something splendidly creepy about it. Underrated, in my humble opinion...

What a fantastic story! Can't blame you for being tongue tied, I'd have been babbling gibberish! A hearty handshake sounds suitably reassuring...

I completely agree, and I'm loving that phrase The Devils Decade. I might have to pinch it! An underrated satanic gem...
horrorposterguy1.bsky.social
Indeed. Funnily enough as soon as I found out Myers mask was actually William Shatner, he became a tad less scary...

Charmingly old school slice of diabolical horror from British director Robert Fuest. Devilish bunkum with a top cast, satanic kitsch and terrific last reel. 1975.

No worries, it's an excellent release!

Me too, the nightmare sequence kept me awake for days...

Sadly true, but I'm just rubbish with temptation! 😆

All fine films. I have the excellent 'Karloff at Colombia' Blu Ray collection from Eureka! with all six films he made for the studio. Great stuff.
horrorposterguy1.bsky.social
A fine double bill indeed, and yes The Man They Could Not Hang was the same director the year before. Two of the six films Karloff made for Colombia.

The poster's gorgeous isn't it, and as you rightly say there's a little more to this than the standard mad scientist fare. Cryogenics is an intriguing theme for 1940, it's crisply directed and at just over 70 minutes you can't go wrong!

Almost perfect Europulp, one of my favourite horror films of all time.

Cryogenics turn deadly when the best of intentions go bad. Smart, tautly directed and strikingly shot. Engaging chiller with Karloff in terrific form. 1940

I've been toying with buying this but I'm not too familiar with Dollman and I'm desperately trying (but happily failing) to rein in the Blu Ray spend...

Terrific fun, a favourite of mine. My love for Michael Gough aside, it's a cracking bit of early British exploitation!

Anything William Castle would be worth seeing on the big screen! If I had that nearby I'd make way more effort to go to the cinema.

I bet this looked glorious on the big screen. Isn't that the LA cinema owned by Tarantino that you told me about a few weeks ago? Looks just wonderful....
