Fantastic isn't it, so much to love. Coming after The Exorcist it does seem immediately old fashioned but for me that works in its favour. Great fun!

Great fun isn't it, it tends to slip under the radar but it holds up pretty well today. Borgnine is terrific, and don't forget Ida Lupino! 😱😁

All fine films. I have the excellent 'Karloff at Colombia' Blu Ray collection from Eureka! with all six films he made for the studio. Great stuff.

A fine double bill indeed, and yes The Man They Could Not Hang was the same director the year before. Two of the six films Karloff made for Colombia.

The poster's gorgeous isn't it, and as you rightly say there's a little more to this than the standard mad scientist fare. Cryogenics is an intriguing theme for 1940, it's crisply directed and at just over 70 minutes you can't go wrong!
