Started working on loading with the donk - Nemo is such a brave kid and gives his all to every interaction. Sweet boy can target with his head in the trailer and has no concerns about his knees touching the trailer's edge. 💓

My donkey grazes grass (not ideal management but what we have right now) and I was so amazed and pleasantly surprised to see some ribs today. Yay track systems 😅

I haven't eaten meat for about 5000 days and haven't eaten/purchased any dairy or other animal products for nearly 2000 days. Naturally animal welfare/ethics is my motivator, but seeing the environmental impacts is astounding (unsure of accuracy - taken from Livvie app).
Environmental impact of my diet since being vegetarian 12 years ago: 456k ft² of water saved - equivalent of 215k showers 2 million ft² of land saved - equivalent of 27 football fields 867k ft² of forest saved 44.6k pounds of crop saved (from animal consumption I assume)

Today marks the first vet visit that didn't make me cry! Having reactive dogs is not for the weak.
Two hound-type mutts in a neutral colored room. Both have on their treat faces with big eyes, and ears pulled up and forward, looking extra cute. They display some stress signals too. The dog on the left, a fawn colored dog with brown ears, has a wrinkled forehead and is visibly sedated by his squinty eyes. The dog on the right, a bluetick coonhound mix, paused his panting to leave an open mouth while begging, his eyes have more of a peak or "triangle" shape to them when they're normally round and bulgy.

We're transitioning to tiny living and planning to live out of our new (to us) camper so I've spent this entire rainy morning in here with the dogs and it's been so nice to see them adapting so well. 🐕
