I like making stuff and fixing stuff. Working on a hardware/software computer vision startup for transport. Tech, cars, MTB, coffee, food, family. Boring political views. West Auckland, New Zealand
Solar installers have desktop calculator tools for such things. Something to do with the sun always being in known locations. We got ours checked (for free) and it ruled us out (trees too tall)

Preach preacher. I’m happy that AWS has a region here now but it’s hardly some massive financial gain for NZ. At best some govt workloads will now migrate but those are taxpayer funded.

They do seem to be going in a weird direction. I made the switch to Jellyfin and Infuse last year and haven’t missed Plex.

7 series probably needed a feature like that just to help with cleaning up with the oil leaks.

Yep, nobody in NZ has ever needed to scale a high traffic website.

I always thought it was a safety thing. I wouldn’t want a dead or disconnected HV battery to mean I don’t have working airbags or hazard lights.

My EV has a pyro fuse on the HV battery which blows if a short is detected. Which could happen in an accident.

I’d rather have working safety systems.
