Any what, precisely, does this have to do with atheists? Who, specifically, abused the children in the non-religious setting? Were those individuals affiliated with a specific religion? What sort of "people" are the problem? Why did you include this study if you had no idea what it meant?

The categories included in this study are Roman Catholic, Protestant, and non-religiously affiliated (secular). There is a significant difference between "secular" and atheist. If you're going to cite a study to make some kind of amorphous point, maybe understand your terminology.

There's a part of Oregon that super MAGA and wants to be part of Idaho but doesn't want to give up the legal weed. And there are parts that are very NoCal and kind of Seattle-ish but more artsy and cooler with better food. The ragey people need to move to Seattle.

I'm not entirely sure what a "duff" is but as a Portlander, we're working pretty hard to get folks off their asses and into the streets. If you want to "help", send food and or $ to the many millions who will be losing their benefits in a few days. Knock it off with the criticism bullshit.

There have been 3 protests. Hands Off was in April, No Kings 1 was in June, and No Kings 2 was in October. Each one has been bigger than the last. No Kings 1 & 2 were the largest protest movements in American history. We don't need more criticism from you or our own. Thanks!

I think it's really sad that your son and DIL chose not to protest and show their 11-year-old the joy and hope of coming together to fight for our democracy. Action is an incredible antidote to feelings of uncertainty.

Turn around and go home or be jailed for being in violation of the judges order. They can decide if they want to ruin their careers or follow the law.

And now they are in violation of a legal order. Any soldier (officers included) in violation of the judges order can be jailed. I don't believe any member of the military wants to risk their careers over this.

If every billionaire in this country simply paid the taxes that they owe at current tax rates, we could lift every single person in this country above the poverty line. If we created a tax system that taxed the 1% fairly, we could keep every American housed, fed, and ensure healthcare for everyone.
