Old queer in the corn belt.
No cable "news" since the election, and breaks my heart to not be able to watch Maddow and O'donnell other than snippets online. Quit CNN years ago though.

Not sure how your photos started showing up in my feed, but so happy they did! I lived in the Gorge for most of my adult life (Hood River, The Dalles, and worked in White Salmon) but retired and now living in the Illinois flatlands (has its own beaty to me). Wonderful to see my old neighborhood.

OMG the history of exploration and especially polar exploration is my jam too! I've read most of these, but remembering reading Batavia's Graveyard still gives me nightmares, and its been several years since I read it.

Why do you increasingly sound like you're taking communication lessons from Susan Collins? Are you gravely concerned? Has he learned his lesson this time? For God's sake read the room and grow a spine.

Can't stomach him anymore. It's just more Bill Marr BS. Haven't been able to watch him in a couple years, and Marr in like 15 years. Contrarians, now is not the time so STFU.

It is fricking annoying. But we also used to go to the Castro Theater in San Francisco in the 80's. They would show classics, like Mildred Pierce. Of course the crowd, having seen it dozens of times would shout the dialogue or root for the villains. So much fun. Seeing movies there was an event!

Portland!!! Lived there for many years, then out to The Dalles for some sunshine. Moved back to the Midwest when I retired, but miss Oregon dearly. Thanks for the pic. Exactly how I see it in my memories.

I used to have a Frankie! He was a feral kitten I had rescued off the streets. Indestructible, survived rattle snake bite, run over by a 4 wheeler, loved to roll around in the dirt. Coyote finally took him out after he had survived 15 years.
