Here for cooking and games, but never cooking games
Imagine my horror when I upgraded to a 1000mbps line and my Series X downloaded at 200mbps max.

Never figured it out. Gave up on it

This just just brought back a visceral memory of playing Mass Effect 1 on PC and finding it ran significantly worse than Mass Effect 2. From 60FPS in ME2 to 30 at best on lowest settings in ME1.

Assuming your GPU and TV are both HDMI 2.1 compliant, also ensure you’re using a HDMI 2.1 cable.

If your GPU is limited to HDMI 2.0, you can still run at 4K/120hz with 4:2:0 chroma sub sampling. The draw back is no HDR support though (iirc)

I don’t know what your set up is, but if you’re using a Nvidia GPU then ensure you scroll to the bottom of the display resolutions in the NV control panel.

For whatever reason, there’s usually two sets of options that differ in available output resolutions/refresh rates

It’s not apples to apples, but the Deck can run Doom Eternal with ray tracing.

I do expect the new game to be more demanding, and I don’t expect it to run well. Though I wouldn’t be shocked if it holds 30FPS most of the time at low settings with RT.

I have no strong feelings on the nugget. The quarter pounder deserves more appreciation than it will ever get though

Yellow paint is just the upgraded version of Batman detective vision.

I was fine with both.

Crispy finish every time.

Not that crazy really. Most older games were made with save limitations in mind. It’s not like they were expecting you to get through 30-100 hour long RPGs and adventure games without any form of save functionality whatsoever.

How we beat games without guides though? Whew.
