Romance doesn't heal him, it just... Makes him a more complete person. Like a puzzle piece added to the fill picture. Another piece will be his family trauma but that's a post for another day.

I'll write more about this in the future but the gist is: Luly has severe relationship trauma and while he thrives in platonic relationships, he doesn't trust romantic approaches despite yearning for it.

It takes a lot of work and patience, but eventually he will trust Marco with his heart.
