Humans make more sense when you remember some primates just want to be followers of a strong troop leader -- we are just apes in shoes.

Culturally, it’s really annoying that the simple human joy of watching amusing cat incidents is being taken away from us. These kinds of videos are watchable because they reflect something true (cats are crazy a-holes) and because they’re happening to some other guy (schadenfreude). AI ruins that.

Trams built all the human scale places in Brisbane that people love. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trams_i... You can tell by the rounded corners that it was a tramway.

There is no way to account for random real world operational impacts such as driver behaviour, weather, and getting stuck behind a caravan.

We'd all be better of if we called it a operational range metric, dropped the incorrect km unit, and used it purely as a relative value.

Besides IMOSH we should tax the hell out of super polluting bleached copy paper.

Having worked for Canon, I can say that that is not copy paper white because people __complain__ if copy paper does not have the hue they expect, and that very slight hue would slightly impact prints of subtle very light shades (especially under warmer colour temperature light sources).

Investors need to remember is that if a pseudo-intelligence ith reasoning in the inference step takes 100× the electricity of a non reasoning model then the provider will have to charge the user more than 100× per query for reasoning to break even.

Not excusing their ignorance, but I will note that the top results for both quick Duck & Google searches were about slavery, racist tropes, misogyny, fat shaming, etc in the works. The automatic LLM summary only mentions her anti-trans "activism". It is unfortunate that top results obscure the truth

My mate working in a bank says they like AI for taking meeting notes (transcription) and guessing action items from key phrases.
