Democracy is in peril, and the peril's name is Donald Trump. If you are not terrified, you are not paying attention. It is time to rise up TOGETHER. The resistance is US.
Definitely a thing that happened.

The idea that skin color is a useful proxy for merit, is race essentialism. It encodes for any number of assumptions that may not hold, and often do not hold, in practice, as higher status minorities are used by higher status institutions to check their boxes.
October 16, 2025 at 10:39 PM
And a race essentialism noise. I'm sure you can play all the hits, but you are devoid of anything interesting to say.
October 16, 2025 at 2:38 PM
That's a meaningless relativism noise. In any given profession, I'm sure any skilled practitioner will have their own nuanced view of what it takes to be good. Few will list skin color as a contributing factor for or against.
October 16, 2025 at 1:58 PM
No, you can't. I indicated that each job would have its own definition of merit, and very few skilled professionals would add "diversity" to their list of qualities that contribute to professional merit.

But that is an advanced idea, beyond the cartoons you think in terms of.
October 16, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Now I see why you think nobody can answer these questions. You're just not smart enough to understand anybody's answers.
October 16, 2025 at 12:50 PM
I think anybody who devotes themselves to a vocation will have a significantly nuanced and educated opinion that will far outstrip your cartoon idea that they can't define merit, and moreover that they have never thought about it. I suggest it is you with the impoverished thinking on this subject.
October 16, 2025 at 2:29 AM
Nobody's ever thought about what it is to be good at one's job? Interesting take. I think most people consider what it is to be good at their own jobs, and from there, they can formulate an informed opinion about whether the DEI officers at their company, would help to promote those qualities.

"She did not touch him" - narrator, as woman can be clearly seen touching him.

Looking like this is not the case. The assassin shot a cultist (in fact a cult leader), but was not in a cult himself.
September 14, 2025 at 3:43 PM
What on earth are you talking about. It was an antifa assassination.
September 12, 2025 at 4:35 PM
You probably have no idea how simple that test is, and they give you the answer key before you take it.

Yet they are all more physically attractive than you are.
March 26, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Beautifully put.

Rachel is deeply troubling.

Your kind is not welcome here.
February 27, 2025 at 2:46 AM
Trite and unactionable ideas can be true. That doesn't make them meaningful.
February 26, 2025 at 7:58 PM
The most interesting thing about this idea, is that a preeminent public intellectual is not embarrassed by how trite it is. The left is trapped in virtue signaling on this issue, and has no ideas beyond completely empty ones.

And Rachel Maddow works for them, willingly.

It is time for genuinely principled people to show their principle. Maddow should quit. Immediately.

If you disagree, then you are complicit. And you disgust me. Period.
February 26, 2025 at 12:56 AM
That is exactly what it is. Trump demanded they not have Black employees, and thus the purge. It is heart breaking, and disgusting.
February 26, 2025 at 12:55 AM
She was free to walk away. Instead, she chooses to work for racists. I hope your principles are more intact than hers are. If not - you share the blame, and you disgust me.
February 26, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Joy Reid, a beautiful, strong, Black woman, was fired for the color of her skin. Period.
February 25, 2025 at 2:40 PM
Love Joy! You go girl!
February 24, 2025 at 2:55 AM
No. Just no. Anybody who voted for him is tainted in my eyes, and I cannot simply "choose" to forgive. Fine, if they want to join our side now, ok, but they will never be acceptable to me.

My virtue is not for sale, and it is not so cheap.
February 24, 2025 at 2:55 AM
Looks like war propaganda. I would be careful with that, because it is not often used appropriately.
