Politicians should be embarrassed to do this. It just demonstrates that those acting like this treat Westminster as just a massive quid pro quo machine, and that he really is as morally bankrupt as he appeared.

Some kind of wealth tax is the obvious way out. The super-rich have so much money it's ridiculous. The government is skint, the underclass and working class are skint, most of the middle class likewise, and the super-rich have so much they can't even spend it.

Is the kid worried about your teeth or your politics? If the latter, I used to buy about half a dozen cans of Diet Coke a week, not long ago I moved to the Aldi equivalent. Can't really taste the difference, except the price and guilt factor are both lower...

How he might recover: consider being authentic and applying actual ideologies to a situation. If his behaviour so far is really him being authentic, God help him.

I'm in the UK. This doesn't seem to have changed much, his election results were a similar split (perhaps a little more favourable). It's a bit dispiriting (what with all the sackings, Town Halls, public booings and bullying) that so many Republican voters apparently still support him.
