Another rec for qobuz. Search and artist info can be a little wonky, but overall it's a good service that pays artists more than any other. There's a lot of hi-Rez music on it too, if you're into good quality audio.

My PhD thesis (aspirational) is this: that Keef wouldn't have his instantly identifiable guitar style without genius Bahamian guitarist Joseph Spence. Keef lifted his funky rhythmic style directly from Ry, who himself lifted it directly from Spence.

Montreal bagels are a different category: they taste completely different than NYC bagels. You have to take NYC bagels on their own (superior) terms.

Had I known, I would have insisted you go to The Bagel Hole in Park Slope, imo the best bagels in NYC. They're one of the few places left that do them in the Old Way: smaller, denser, crispier. They're magnificent.
