May I suggest AMERICAN FLYERS as a future episode? It's another cycling movie written by Steve Tesich (directed by John Badham), & I think it's great!

THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT is one of my favorite movie discoveries of this year. It definitely deserves to be better known!
THE SURE THING is my personal favorite of Reiner's movies, & it also deserves to be better-known. It's a perfect (imo) updating of IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT into an '80s teen comedy.

This is what I love about JUNKFOOD CINEMA. Not only do you guys love the kind of stuff I love, you and Brian are always positive and your enthusiasm is infectious. It's always a great listen!

As a nerd who loves QUANTUM LEAP, I have to admit that it feels good to see the nerds push back against that disdain and win. I wasn’t even three years old yet, so this wasn’t my fight. But still!

Warning: Kevin Spacey is the narrator and Bryan Singer makes several appearances. Obviously, this is from before we knew about the monstrous things they did, so I don't hold it against the movie. It's worth mentioning as a heads-up, though.

It's not perfect, but it's compelling-I felt myself being pulled from one scene into the next. It's full of famous directors, and I was just glad to find it on YouTube!
