Oh, this is a low blow.

Thanks for sharing it, Rachel!

Oh, I'm sorry, Rachel.

May you keep many good memories of her.

As others noted, this is cute but appears to be AI, not an actual video. Check out the "Sora" markings.

So pretty!

I looked for a time when Jupiter was there... this could have been around July 3, 2019 (near new moon) or maybe mid-Sep 2019, though that would have been near full moon, harder to catch such a nice dark sky.

Did they eventually start reading to each other, too?

Oh no, Rachel!

How astonishing!

Sure enough we can see lots of gracefully falling debris.

Is there any way to estimate how large the chunks of debris might be? Meters? Tens of meters??

Living in steamy Champaign, IL, I don't like summer weather but we do have great numbers of fireflies! Each year I note the date of first firefly spotted - usually late May, sometimes earlier. Last night walked under trees along a nearby creek & was completely surrounded with dozens of blinkers.

Are the starfield-with-foreground-streaks from some real imagery? The credits to this piece mention www.esa.int/Science_Expl... , and there are quite a few animations there. I've skipped around in them but can't find one with anything like those starfields - can anyone else?
Rosetta
Follow Europe's comet chaser Rosetta on ESA's official website, where you can find the latest news, images and animations on the spacecraft and its lander Philae.Rosetta will rendezvous with comet 67P...

This answer makes more sense than any other I've seen. But have you read elsewhere either (a) that FEMA has indeed run through its budget, or (b) that its budget was diverted to DHS/ICE? I would love to spread the word about that if so!

... but of course, if a party wants to go for malicious prosecution, or selective challenging of the other party's voters, the info needed is there for the taking.

At least in Illinois where I live, political parties are allowed access to the voter rolls - names / addresses / ages, including which party's ballot they chose in recent years' primaries. Presumably this is for purposes of canvassing. Though the general public can't see the whole lists.

I hope you can remind them how racism gets used to divide people who would otherwise find common cause. It's a deliberate tool of oppression. Being effective at countering it is what made Fred Hampton dangerous, and why they wanted ACORN taken down. Not news but we need to keep remembering it.

When / how was this taken? Is this a composite photograph, or a synthetic image?
