Becoming a parent is a daunting & challenging time. My health visitor was invaluable so it makes me sad to hear that services are being cut further & further & that this support is just not available in the way it once was.

Happy volunteers week to all of the wonderful fellow volunteers that I know! Whether it’s with my work in perinatal mental health, maternity or on the school PTA I love every second of the work I do and being able to help others will always be a privilege ❤️

What a fantastic report Leanne, thank you for taking the time and effort to advocate for a much misunderstood and under appreciated service. I continue to advocate for the difference investment in specialist public health nursing makes (HVs and School Nurses -which is another report!)

So privileged to have spoken today at the National maternity safety conference! I’ve done many talks over the years as an expert by experience so it was so fabulous to be able to talk as a nurse today! 💜
