I guess this means I should update the terminology of my puzzle game alignment chart (and maybe reverse those bottom 3, looking back).
At 3am one night I suddenly got struck by the idea that puzzle games can be broken down into 3 categories, and in a frenzy came up with this. I'm not taking questions at this time because I don't have any answers (but game names are in the alt).

I feel like the terms early access, early development, alpha, beta, closed/open testing, and even demo have all started to lose meaning to gamers since Crackdown included "beta" access for Halo 3.
