I think to be a celebrity is to have your humanity denied. You are treated like a god, as if your thoughts are gospel, and your mistakes sacrilege. The money sounds nice. I don't think it's worth it to never have normality again. That's a vastly more interesting topic than your boyfriend's dick imo

I don't feel sorry for celebs most of the time, but in the same way I think having a royal family is psychologically inhumane to the people within it, I think celebrity is not good for a person's wellbeing. I wish we heard more about it, even if it might come across as "poor little rich girl"

I sometimes wish I could be a Hot Ones-style entertainment journalist where all I do is talk to celebrities about how fucking weird it is to be a celebrity. What aspects of life are forever closed off because of fame? What's it like to get famous post-30s? Are they numbed to incredible experiences?

I often think about how celebrities must have interesting stories to tell, because their lives are so inaccessibly different to ours. Somewhere between rap god bragging and vapidly attempting to relate to "normal life" are the lyrics I wish Taylor Swift had wrote in her latest album

I would not be sane enough to be leaving reviews

leaving my gym a 2⭐ review because the PTs are amazing but their workout playlist includes 'Celebration' and 'Come On Eileen'

Learned that I am being laid off from Heart Machine, and will be leaving the studio later this month.

Do you need a contractor? I've got a track record of leading scope-friendly script revisions late in dev. I have also done a lot of consulting on new IPs and pitches/demos. Feel free to DM me!

oh no time to eat scones for science
hownottodraw.bsky.social
see, look! science!

I really preferred getting to taste the clotted cream when it was on top. Jam, I can have any day; the whole point of a scone is the clotted cream, imo.

Cornwall is right. Apologies, Devon
scones on a plate. one is slathered with cream on top of jam, one is jam on top of cream.

some context for this: in the UK, a cream tea is scones, topped with jam and cream, and tea. it is delicious. but one county, Cornwall, in the south east of England, says jam first is the proper way to serve scones. Devon, the next county over to the east, prefers cream first. it is a heated and delicious debate.

I did a scientific test to see if cream first or jam first was correct, and here is my take:

🤍 cream first makes for easier application, but makes for a jam-dominated flavour

♥️ jam first is tricky - you have to smear the cream against the side of the scone - but the flavour is smooth and buttery
