I've said it before and I'll say it again. 158 Canadian troops died in Afghanistan fighting along with their NATO counterparts.

You're so right Robert. It's a clear lesson from history long in the making. You must stand up to a bully.

That's our provincial bird in British Columbia.

They would have to do a Clockwork Orange thing to me to get me to watch that load of cinematic crap.

It’s because profit is God in the US.

I’m with you on that. I have had a moussaka with a lot of cheese where the eggplant blended in and was excellent. Also at Chinese restaurants, they can make a pretty good eggplant. But you should do like I do, and call it by its British name, aubergine. Doesn’t seem quite so intimidating that way.

If you live next to a flat roof in BC, you will see them. And soon you’ll hear the incessant, annoying little chirps they make calling for their mothers.

Look I’m Canadian. I can tell you that there was a 60 Minutes railroad of secret safe houses along the way to smuggle the episode. Let’s not deny it. It’s part of the Canadian mystique.

I might add that if you work in a newsroom, it’s the slowest and worst time of the year.

Learn to play guitar. Then you can shred as well as mutilate.

Only in winter though.

Oh. Thanks for the explanation. I’ve been lucky enough to have seen a pretty awesome green flash in the tropics.
December 2, 2025 at 4:47 PM
Wow. The green flash. Rare.

Winston Churchill once defined diplomacy as telling the other person to go to hell, in such a way that they look forward to the trip. That was Prime Minister Carney.

Pretty much every Canadian knows that. I keep imagining what it must have been like when Burton got a phone call saying that Lenny Kravitz was going to release his version of the song. The royalties must have been huge.

Where were the other reporters who should have stood up for Nancy? When is this finally going to happen? The others are worried they will lose their jobs and cushy salaries. What they may not realize, is the one shouts at Trump in defence of dignity, may get fired, but will have job offers galore.

Just on my walk this morning in Victoria, BC and I was thinking how much I like cormorants. They're ubiquitous...I have seen them in the tropics and in colder climates. They're awkward, yet graceful at the same time.

It's called the dark period. But keep the faith. February they'll start to report for spring training.

I've been saying this for some time. This man has a bright future in politics. He's definitely Senate material. Can you imagine him representing Texas, instead of the unctuous, slimy Ted Cruz?
