Actual criminals in prison aren’t treated like this. These people have committed a civil infraction…not a criminal offense. This is how Americans treat anyone in a position of low power. I’m glad I don’t believe in god, because he’s got to be fuckin pissed at the USA.

Right now the EU and Canada *STILL* has the US listed as “safe country” for LGBTQ people. The EU *may* be reconsidering that this June. What that means is that most EU countries can deny claims for asylum without reviewing evidence, some as quick as 2 days turnaround.
