I’m still hanging on to a drawer full of blank CDs and DVDs just in case …

Impossible.

A good game of Christmas-time family Monopoly should extend over multiple days and cause at least three big arguments and end with “we are not playing this next year”.

You mean we host a community curated HPC/AI events page on HPC social? And I can just point to it from my page? That’s a great idea!

😁

To be fair that comment has been there long before I joined a hyperscaler - it’s a comment on the applicability of best practiced on HPC procurement/strategy etc - and there are different contexts below a certain amount - eg diff procurement rules maybe.

Exactly.

A dozen vendors supplying essential web functionality you could make a case for.

Hundreds? Nope. No case at all. It’s just an over-entangled web of non-essential tracking and crud that takes up bandwidth.

It’s when they are honest enough to reveal the “vendor” count - ie how many other orgs they are selling your tracking info to … and it’s like 1329 vendors.

There is no credible case at all to have hundreds of third parties needing cookie/tracking info on your website. Ever.

At some point the old adage of “doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result” becomes the obvious factor - Slot appears to be unwilling to find big changes so far, keeps trying the same starting lineups and tactics.
November 26, 2025 at 9:53 PM
Right now, totally. Slot has to start Hugo every game now - 1st outfield name on the sheet - fine bring on Isak as a sub near the end to get minutes - but there is no logic only stubbornness to starting Ekitike on the bench right now.

VVD too busy claiming for the foul instead of focusing on defending and so wasn’t paying attention to his arm being in the ball’s path. Symptomatic of the lack of confidence and box dominance this season compared to last.

Indeed. Wonder which was the reaction to which?

Did someone catch wind of Cowell’s role change and assume / start Horner rumours?

Or was this announced sooner than planned to squash the Horner stories?

Or just coincidence?
