When the news gets too much I do NYTimes Mini crosswords. At the rate I’m going I’ll need 13,688 of them to last me the next 3.75 years

Gonna write some postcards to Mr Grump tomorrow; think I'll use a bunch of those greeting cards I get with fundraisers as well. My text: "Support Ukraine. Rehire federal workers. Do your job." and a couple of other lines. We'll be using the postal service too! Good old-fashioned activism

Hopefully, my legislators to the current Budget. We're already in the mines of Moria, and even if the next thing is "Run, you fools!" I still need them to be Gandalf right now

An easy question (relative to the chaos of the world): My Trader Joes switched to compostable bags for veggies, but GreenWaste Monterey doesn't allow compostable bags in the green bin. Do I recycle them with the plastic bags or throw them away? So hard to do the right thing!

Interesting- my local paper hasn’t printed Letters to the Editor in weeks. I’m sure they’ve received some! Not to be vain but I sent one in, and prior to this they’ve printed 11 of my last 12, so it can’t be lack of quality material 😉. This happening in your town too?

Emailing my legislators I have to pick a subject of concern: healthcare, immigration, the economy, veterans affairs etc. I need two new categories: “all of the above” and “constitutional crisis”
