Captain America is dead and I just don’t know how to explain that to my kid. I know I should fight, and hope but honestly I’m just tired. I’m tired of feeling like I’m the crazy one when living in the US is like one lone unending toxic relationship where I am constantly gaslit.

They don’t realize that while they are drowning down in the steerage, the guys with money are getting on the life boats without them as this country sinks like the Titanic. The idea that our grandfathers fought for, that this is the “greatest country in the world” is dead. We ARE the bad guys now.

Filled with even more unserious people. While the “broligarchs” sell us down the river, the people who cheer on their racism, homophobia and misogyny are too ignorant to realize that these guys do not care at all about them or how much their eggs cost.

I cannot believe how far we’ve fallen as a country in his lifetime. When he was born we had our first black president in office, I had so much hope for his future. Now, all I can do is worry and be scared that he is inheriting a shell of a country and a dying planet. We are a deeply unserious place
