Tiiiiiiniest amount of progress. I make like 5 cuts and my hands are sweaty and I'm so nervous that I need to stop lol. I am used to applying a lot of pressure into the gouge against flat wood on a level surface while spinning the piece around as I need to. Hoping I find my groove soon...

It's the handle of an opinel and as you can see I've already fucked up the carving. I wanted to try it without sanding, but the smooth finish and rounded shape are proving difficult. I'll probably keep at it since I'm too lazy to sand and redraw, but I will be sanding future ones. (3 more for gifts)
