There are over 18,000 types of lichen in existence. My personal favourite is ‘village bench lichen’, which devotes its entire existence selflessly to gradually making communal public seating more furry and comfortable.

Last night, we celebrated the publication of The Changeling Child with a picnic (for two) by the river Rhine.
Reading in the water, swimming, watching the river flow and all the passing swimmers, ducks and dogs(!), while we toasted the book in Hugo spritz we’d brought in a thermos. It was PERFECT!

Delighted to see two new comics in the UK Childrens and YA top ten bestseller lists alongside Dogman and Bunny Vs Monkey. Go Sheena Dempsey and Huw Aaron! And their publishers for backing comics! #UkKidlit
