On my normal iPad (no pro, air or mini, with iPadOS 18.7), I just opened 10 apps (5 from Apple, 5 3rd party) and none of them show the bar during normal use.
Maybe some accessibility setting or so

Is the bar there all the time in that game? Most (all?) apps I use don’t show it, unless the swipe up had just been used and quickly fades away. If anything, the swipe up imo feels more natural considering how the app overview is displayed
