Tech companies have always been valued on their future earnings potential, not current value. And then one day 90% of them crash. Rinse and repeat.

Since my diag of ADHD and suspected Autism (waiting for proper diag for that) I started noticing odd behaviours in others that for some reason are just "normal" and not a sign of ND, like *finishing my sentences*, *cracking joints* and *not allowing shoes on the table*. Who made the rules?

Oh my god the humanity.

We should call them what they are: an invading army.

Sorry that happened to you. Some people are snobs about art, and grumpy around children. Don't beat yourself up for your handling of the situation, I'd have probably done the same.

Yeah they were Ever Ready's own codes:
AAA = SP/HP16, AA = SP/HP7, C = SP/HP11, D = SP/HP2.
SP = Standard Power, HP = High Power.

Yeah I mean I don't know much about art, but I figure the artist would have been delighted to see this. Shame on Serious Woman.

There's always a Wikipedia page
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery...
In short: LR03 is the IEC (Europe) code for an aLkaline Round size 03. AAA is the ANSI (North American) name for the same shape, but in ANSI, AAA is also shape 24, and with the suffix A for Alkaline the ANSI code is 24A.

Also "per year" is redundant in this headline. They haven't even bothered to get their science right.

This is a new low even for the billionaire-owned propaganda machines that have replaced the free press in America. It means somewhat less than 0.03% of the impact of all cars on the road globally. So no actual impact worth discussing. This is disgusting ableist pro-fossil-fuel disinfo from @cnn.com

The people who are most vulnerable to the hard-to-breathe air that comes with climate change may inadvertently be adding to the problem, new research finds. https://cnn.it/4pWQMoh

I swear Bowie came from the future (i.e. today, and went back in time to teach us stuff and we didn't listen).

I don't think so sorry, FYI the OTSA training courses are not free I'm afraid, the cost for this one is £45, that keeps them sustainable. Hope to see you soon!

Great minds etc., we are basically the same person I think.

You don't have to use randint() in Python, you can of course use random() which is the same as Math.random() in JavaScript, i.e. a float between 0 and 1. I have shown this to classes before and explained that randint(a,b) just does random()*(b-a)+a under the covers.

This is the thing they'll never understand about "wokeness" or "political correctness" - huge organizations didn't implement these policies because of "cancel culture" or secret communists, they did it to stay competitive and viable. It's what people wanted

We had a great day at #PyConUK2025, where we delivered a workshop for young people - teaching them to code a program to notify them when the ISS is above! 🛰️

We chose this project from our brand new APIs curriculum, which you can access at missionencodeable.com/get-started
