And after I've declined or disabled the ai features 1000 times, the execs meet up and congratulate each other on the ai features having been interacted with over 1000 times and use it as proof that they need to implement even more AI features.

It's why ferris talks marriage to Sloane even tho they don't seem like they've been together long, because he's been dating her for years. And at the end of the movie when his parents ask how he got so perfect, his answer is years of practice.

The highlights are that he isn't lucky that all of his schemes work, he knows they will work because he has done them all before, he knows where the baseball is going to be hit, what number the parade float is going to perform, etc. its bill Murray catching the kid from the tree.

I like the theory that ferris bueller is a ground hog day movie.

I will be drinking hot coffees mid day in July this year.

Big news. Gives us time to shift our polymarket funds to retractable roof futures.

Recently moved to NYC from LA, I'm sure all neighborhoods are different, but we pay less for fruit and produce where we live now. Red vines and nature's valley are going to set you back.

But themes of tech displacing human roles in society, and the people playing roles in their own replacement resonate really well. saddest part is that its written to be dystopian future, but it overshot how much social safety netting would be granted to the displaced, some of the dystopia seem quaint

Following up: the book was first published in 1952 so I was braced for some cringey moments and there are some for sure (the character of Harold stands out). It sucks that the only really proactive female character in the book is also a bad person.

In my youth I threw a knife at the ground and missed...barefoot.

Pretty rude of Webster to include moribund in their handful of 2026 words.

I'm team retractable roof. Keep the fans out of most of the elements, no more lightning delays, teams have the option to open, and maybe we get one good snow game every year.

I've always loved that in the first taken movie they enhance a photo of a man from his reflection in the plexiglass on the side of a bus stop from a picture taken with a phone that still had a keypad. One of the more believable moments of that film.

What an unhinged number of lightbulbs in that ceiling.

Real chance I don't make any finals for the first time since I started playing in multiple leagues. I still have a shot, but the end of this season has been rough. Only one thing to do really, join more leagues next year?

Gotta mix it up, there's an entire of library of Shane Black movies for that action movie set at Christmas niche.

I really want to recommend Kurt vonnegut's player piano as a forgotten gem dealing with the dehumanization of technological reliance and what that does to a society, but I haven't read it in years and I'm not sure if it holds up. I'll read it again and follow up.

8 playoffs in 12 leagues (mostly dynasty). Followed my normal trend of losing half each round of playoffs. My best team going into the playoffs relies heavily on Adams, rice, and Kelce, so not feeling great there gonna need some vintage king Henry the next 2 weeks.

Been trying to claw my way back into a match vs Pitts in a TE prem league. Gibbs usage right now is killing me. Get the man in space.

I'm just waiting for my Dalton Schultz 150 and 3 response performance.

Fun, guess I'll have to watch two movies I've never heard of before to find out what they say about me.
