This is my number 1 concern every time I start a contract or project. I connect with as many department heads as possible to get the lay of the land and understand what priorities are out there for each cog in the machine to complete. It's CRUCIAL.

I seriously think about this a lot at every job I’ve been on. Departments naturally seem to segregate from each other and I like to ask others what their job/expectations/deadlines are so I can be aware how my part in the pipeline affects them and ultimately what I can do better to help them.
