This is why Gavin Newsom is a non-starter for me.
Sure, he's "a fighter" who's landed a few good punches on Trump, but that's not the same thing as a leader.
A real leader doesn't fight back against an authoritarian takeover by using the most vulnerable as his shield.

Having sat through cognitive tests given to my mother when she was succumbing to dementia, I can tell you that they don’t tell the patient that they missed a question. My mom always thought she did well, and everyone told her she did. Because it wasn’t about the test, it’s the doctors observations.

As an atheist (former Christian) I have come to believe that Jesus may be the way out of this mess. After all, his followers got us into it. I have been straight up preaching Jesus’ words to MAGA Christians. It is easy to show how all of this is against Jesus’ actual teachings. Shame them for it.

Something I find absolutely bonkers regarding the Epstein files. Democrats are 100% on board with punishing all those Dems on the list that republicans have been gnashing their teeth to punish. And yet nada, because MAGA would rather protect Trump than punish criminals.

Right Wing “News” outlet headline: “Ceasefire still on, despite weekend fighting.” This is the mentality of the people who are perfectly fine lying to preserve their narrative. It’s utter stupidity to any reasonably sane person.

I have concluded that right wing Christian’s truly enjoy being repugnant by proxy. Like they can trick Jesus by voting for the people who go against Jesus’ teachings and do horrible things for them. The problem is, they also believe Jesus knows their heart…so…oopsie.

Whenever I saw someone posting lists of Mr Rogers, Steve Irwin and Bob Ross I would think, “…and Jane Goodall.” Like Fred Rogers, Jane Goodall has been there my whole life teaching us about life on this planet and where we fit in. She had a grace and dignity that spoke louder than words.
