Irish, in Northern Ireland. Far too old for my own good. Interested in history, especially of the 17th-18th Centuries & pirates. Love reading PG Woodhouse, Agatha Christie & Terry Pratchett. Pro-Ukrainian & Palestinian, & any victims of violence.
I could be wrong, but this may also be a slightly unfortunate framing.

It's kind of worrying, it's like someone is looking over my shoulder...

I'm just too literal a person for that kind of rational, scientific, approach.

That said, I assume you are correct.

Late to this, I know, but emigration is still migration, so the headline may be surprisingly accurate.
November 27, 2025 at 10:47 PM
I hate you...

Because I don't have any.

I'm not sure about the "anymore", because the quantity of legislation passed in recent years suggests that that word might be slightly redundant.

Speaking as a person who has never wanted to work, but is frustrated by the inexplicable lack of totally undeserved personal wealth.

That was my memory of a very brief transit through Paris some 30 years ago.

It seems wrong to like this post.

In this case the heart is on the cusp of breaking, in sympathy.

Thank you for the pictures, although I had (on some level) been aware of the numbers of African troops among the Free French, the images really bring it home.
