Its not like billionaires would need to work hard to not be hated. Just give away a couple million each year and keep quiet the rest of the time. Keep the private jet, yacht, etc. Seems like a good deal to me.

In a weird way, it's sort of a return to an earlier form of social media. This place is dominated by people who are here because they WANT TO BE HERE, instead of trying to sell themselves and/or their products.
That version of the internet has its own problems, but it's qualitatively different.
