It is tragic what is happening in Britain today - Birmingham is a relatively "average" city in the UK, it's a shame how the country is sliding into oblivion.

H calls it idealism, but it's probably better thought of as the danger of people who are not strong enough to compromise and see compromise as a dirty word, and so take the most extreme views.

To be fair what he is trying to do is not a crazy idea - but - he clearly does not understand the power of rumours... the markets are spooked causing people to move into dollars, which causes more people to be spooked..

Huh - while only marginal, it is interesting that apparently Labour supporters are more likely to support Tommy Robinson than Conservative supporters, that I did not expect.
Approval of Tommy Robinson tends to be 1/10 people who have heard of him, with half of the population critical.

Reform voters a third for & against. Conservatives 6-1 against

His reputation has been pretty stable with mild fluctuations when this has been asked across for the last fifteen years.

I know he is not exactly a favoured figure on this platform, but Ruseel Brand does a very good sum up of Charlie Kirk and the evolving news coming out about his assassination - and why it's important to step back and to engage in conversation, not hate.
More conversation, less hate. The immediate aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s death.
We’re not putting out today’s show but we’ll be back soon.

No one deserves to be killed just for having different views. Even if they are racist, even if they are nationalist, even if they are transphobic, homophobic or anything else. You debate them, you don't kill them.

In MAGA, Charlie Kirk was a moderate. What comes next may be more extreme
In the aftermath of his assassination, concerns are mounting that the space Kirk once occupied may quickly be filled by more radical voices calling for revenge.
