I explore this materialization of some crypto networks in #Russia, #Kazakhstan, and #Kyrgyzstan, where #digital mining has emerged under technical and political conditions shaped by the #Soviet legacy & the #USSR dissolution, also highlighting contemporary dynamics unique to each of these countries.

Crypto mining, through its computation power, is a critical component of complex #digital infrastructures as #Bitcoin is. Its shapes & scales reflect historical evolution of these networks, analyzed as geopolitical spaces, and the territorial specificities of the regions where it takes place.
