Hull City. #hcafc #hullcitylive
First City home game in ages that I've genuinely looked forward too. Everyone at football this morning was buzzing too. Utter calamity. Well done to McCarthy for excellently putting his jitters aside. Welcome back Mo Belloumi. Welcome to typical City, Mr Jakirovic. #hcafc

Lad has had a good first 15 in this second half. Can't say the same for anyone else. #hcafc
The young lad, McCarthy, looks a bag of nerves. Not sure there was any other choice but to play him given the absence of Hughes, Ajayi, Famewa and even Coyle. Needs to grow into it quickly though. #hcafc

Absolutely horrific 5 minutes. Appalling defending from the free kick. Dreadful individual error from Giles. Honeymoon cancelled. #hcafc

Night and day from last week. Blackburn started well and pressed with urgency but, aside from a flurry of chances before their goal, City haven't passed well, haven't got the wide players in the same positions and have been absolutely out-shithoused in a game of about 47 nonsense free kicks. #hcafc

City's transfer ban appeal announced. EFL desperate to stop Crazy Dave ringing them up. Reduced to a two window ban on paying transfer fees. #hcafc

What a great win. Second half didn't have the same tempo and the subs weren't on the level of what they replaced but showed patience and big players delivered. Fully deserved and tremendous fun. LFG, City. #hcafc

Great watch, that. Their goals are annoying because they've got fuck all but a long throw. Really enjoyed our build up play. #hcafc

Some light relief from the woes of Hull City. Morning, Steve! 🤣

Interesting that the #hcafc statement calls it a "thorough and extensive recruitment process" whereas Baz Cooper said on the 1904 Podcast that there wasn't the sort of process you'd expect, it's just that Acun wanted Emre, that wouldn't wash, so he wanted Sergej. I hope this is the right one.

Sorry to see the end of Brandon Fleming's journey at #hcafc A wonderful young man and a fantastic player. He's given everything to the cause through all age groups and I sincerely wish it had worked out at the top level. All the best, Bran. 👊

This is a great post. The lack of any real plan is the biggest worry in all of the decisions over the last year. Throwing shit, and money, at a wall to see if anything sticks. #hcafc
As worrying would be this feeling that the owner seems to think there is some sort of cheat code that gets you into the Premier League if you press enough random buttons, meaning you can bypass all the plans the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford made. 2/3

Looks like Selles time is up. I would have kept him but I'm not too upset. It was a 50/50 decision. The next appointment is obviously massive. We can't afford another Arveladze or Walter. #hcafc

"Former Leicester, Hull and Crystal Palace manager Peter Taylor has been appointed the new boss of non-league Canvey Island."

I love how much PT just enjoys working. Recall that was where Nicky Barmby scored his first #hcafc goal. I might have stuck it on YouTube.

"Hull City head coach Ruben Selles says it's obvious where the Tigers must improve during the summer."

Agree. Left back, defensive midfielder, winger, striker. Don't need 15 players. Need a handful of real quality, then to get our long-term injured back.

Seems the club won't keep Selles. A harsh decision, but if the replacement is Mowbray - as rumoured - then at least it's a rational one. Never dull here. #hcafc
Lots of big decisions for #hcafc now safely in the Championship. First one is the manager. Would you keep Selles? I think on balance, I would. He's made mistakes but he's inherited a poor, badly suited squad and needs to be afforded the chance to shape it.

Double digits - Hull City have managed more than 9 home wins in only 2 of the last 9 seasons and 3 of the last 12. And 1 of those seasons was the 14 win 2020/21 - when the average attendance was zero.
