don’t know your history obviously, but again you are in such a good place if you are looking to change. So many people are deep in wallowing, resentment, or denial that they continue on their ways that are destructive to not only those close but themselves. Not you though, you are gonna crush this!

I think those conversations can lead to some further introspection but now your surrounding yourself with others to help on that journey. I like nature walks/hiking, taking pictures, signing up for charity events/soup kitchens, things that center on people/communities bigger than myself. Good luck!

Individually with those you may have hurt or affected? Those close usually have a pretty long leash especially when they feel honest growth or change from those that may have harmed.

There seems to be no differentiating going on, I think it’s personal preference for each cat depending on how “used” the other one is.
