With their moral core gone, performative cruelty mixed with idiotic choices becomes the central act. Though, to be fair, climate change will indeed function as “population control” soon enough on the current trajectory.

Been thinking: they're investing trillions into AI not for its economic/productivity potential, but for its potential as a weapon - propaganda, surveillance, oppression, more efficient environmental destruction, regulatory override, literal killing machines, etc.
