Almost forgot to mention Public Announcement, which is another daily one I enjoy. Sometimes they include a quote, sometimes quick commentary, but often they pull the subheadline/excerpt. The headline is bolded and linked, followed by the source. And they will mash together related links together in

Last but not least, After School and News Items. After School takes a similar approach to my main links with the header, commentary, and occasional quote. They also only feature 5-7 links per letter, providing commentary for each vs my ~10 w/ commentary and 50+ other links. News Items dials into 5-6

NY Times, Axios, The Morning Brew, and Punchbowl all take pretty similar approaches that are mostly uninspiring. Breaking bullets out by topic occassionally with some straightforward commentary.

NextDraft and The Morning News are two OGs for me in the space. I typically enjoy ND's opener, but tend to glaze over the quotes going straight to the underlined links because of the lack of formatting and minimal commentary. TMN is minimal, quickly getting it's point across and formats beautifully

My two favorite round-up newsletters take complete opposite approaches. Status breaks out it's post into multiple sections, each one focused around one story with commentary, followed by bullets covering other stories in that area. Letters from an American forgos links in the main post altogether, g

This is the approach I currently take for RoL—starting with straight linked headlines, before going deep into ~10 links with quotes and commentary. For those unfamiliar, I also include *a ton* of other links organized by movies/tv/comics/music below the 10 with commentary.

Banner draft for something new I'm working on for Foofaraw — I'd eventually like to get Daniel Jurman to whip something up for me since he did the other three newsletter banners, but no budget for time being.

It took some leg work and some favors from very kind people, but Sponsorships filled out pretty nicely over the last few days. Real test will be if anyone returns and if I can get strangers reaching out to me down the line...

Doing some Instagram experimentation with this short story... threw up a post, story, and even boosted it... I know Reels and TikTok is "where it's at" but getting over my distaste takes time. Plus I have no idea how I'd do video for foofaraw... Anyways, go give it a read, it's a weird one. https://

Looking for a fun sans serif font recommendation to use with Foofaraw social quote posts. Something that has some personality and would work next to Swear and At Briega... attached is an example of how it'd be used—currently with At Geodesic which is *a bit* to geometric for me.
