Andrew, do you see what I see?

I do. Let him play to become bigger in the net otherwise I would predict an auxiliary career for him.

At least, Habs had some fairness for a few games.

The 1951 Greenland Defense Agreement allowed the United States to keep its military bases in Greenland, and to establish new bases or “defense areas” if deemed necessary by NATO
∙ The treaty gave the United States permanent jurisdiction over the defense areas…

Paradigm-shattering stratagem resolves America’s trilemma—debt, deindustrialization, dedollarization—through interdependent policy dominoes, each plausibly autonomous yet synergistically lethal. Venezuela begets oil command; suppression begets easing; tariffs beget debility; debility begets exports;

AI: «Not a singular act of intervention, but the pivotal opening salvo in a meticulously orchestrated, multi-year campaign to reforge America's economic supremacy, defuse the $36 trillion sovereign debt crisis, and reclaim industrial hegemony through a masterstroke of controlled USD depreciation. »

Also, it's been 10 games since Lane Hutson moved to his natural left side. He has 16 assists and is a plus-12 in those 10 games.

The Canadiens at 5v5 in Hutson's minutes in those 10 games:

SOG - 102-61 Mtl
Goals: 16-6 Mtl
Expected goals: 57.52% Mtl

How was it possible for that ref to see and call the play. Mesmerizing.

About Habs goaltending:
Montembeault:
2024-2025: 31 wins over 62 gp
2025-2026: 5 wins over 15 gp
36 wins over 77 gp = 0.468

Dobes:
2024-2025: 7 wins over 16 gp
2025-2026: 12 wins over 20 gp
19 wins over 36 gp = 0.528
…hinting to elite secondary goaltending (small sample size)

Now if we look more specifically at Jakub Dobes and hockeydb stats:
2024-2025
7 wins over 16 games.
2025-2026
12 wins over 20 games.

Small sample but leaning towards elite secondary goaltending.

From HockeyBuzz article “How Backup Goalies Make or Break Championship Contenders” one can extrapolate that secondary goaltenders on average brings 10-12 wins over 25 games. The article states that teams with elite backup goaltending 15-16 wins were 2.25 times more likely to reach the playoffs.

This is something that stuck me with Dobes while he was playing with Ohio State University right until he started with the Habs. Essentially, he used to be quite committed to move forward if necessary to steal the puck. Goalie coaching is questionable. They no longer can poke check a puck.
