I wouldn’t count “continually voting against basic human rights” to be “more mature” but maybe that’s just me

Irl, people become comfortable as they gain a steady career and forget what it’s like for those who are struggling. So they stop caring about them.

Sounds like a case of mass delusion then

The onion has always had a left-wing tilt, you’re just slightly better at reading comprehension than you were in the past

Both parties want to prevent progress. It’s just that one wants the status quo and the other wants regression.

Apparently it was Logan. I’m surprised it wasn’t origins tbh, he looks even more dehydrated in that one.

Hopefully giving him the big spandex suit for Deadpool means he’s gonna be allowed to be healthy.

The shredded physique is a standard placed on men by patriarchal standards. It’s got nothing to do with women tbh, it’s entirely due to the same systems and beliefs that force similar body standards on women

Didn’t he apmost pass out multiple times on the x-men 1 set due to dehydration to keep his physique or was that a later movie

Men literally have body dysmorphia. It’s caused by the exact same factors that cause it for women. Arguing that it isn’t or that men should continue to be pushed toward unrealistic body standards is saying you want no changes to the status quo and is frankly antifeminist

Baldurs gate 3 had a budget of 100 million dollars. It is in every way shape and form a AAA game.

It’s another argument entirely whether having or lacking a specific set of skills makes more or less worthy to make enough money to live, (and to make clear: you’d be a ghoul to argue it does), but unfortunately that’s how things are under the US’ brand of capitalism.

The skills you gain from gaming (problem solving in most games, dexterity under pressure in things like fighting games, community management in MMOs) are supplementary skills. They work great ALONGSIDE other skills (at least in the current job market)
March 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM
Games absolutely can teach valuable skills. It’s weird to me that people are denying that in this very thread.

But you’re not gonna make a career out of those skills. Games are, by definition, not a creative hobby, they’re consumptive. You aren’t gonna become a great filmmaker by watching movies.

This is a really weird take, performing dexterity under safe pressure absolutely helps you perform dexterity under severe pressure. Of course surgeons would be willing to use that to their advantage

Had an argument with a “STEM is the only viable career path”-type guy about this over a year ago. Apparently a lack of tactile feedback in something as important as ENSURING YOUR CAR IS NOT IN REVERSE doesn’t matter because “under the hood it’s done the same way either way”
