Ordered the new & 2nd @irishrainforest.bsky.social book for Christmas for one of my brother's & got his first in PB for myself. The brother actually asked for this after I gave him the first book when it was originally published. 📖👍

I miss Donegal. The skies, ocean & landscape.

Last weekend of opening for 2023 - Head to Howth (Dublin) & into our lovely Napoleonic-era defensive Martello Tower. 🩵💙

We are open 11am-4pm for more communication history gems than you could shake a stick at.

Crammed full of lovely items from the collecting magic touch of our esteemed and much missed Pat Herbert (RIP). Our Martello Tower containing a wealth of communication history & so much more. Framed photographs, records, drawings and advertisements line the interior stairwell. Lower level contsins early radios, transistors and wall advertisements. Exterior view of Martello Tower North No. 2 nestled between our tower plateau boundary pillars. Carefully examine our plateau to locate a boundary stone from when the Martello Tower was in use as defensive military signal tower during the Napoleonic wars.

Got one last year & it didn't survive in the ground when we had -10 over winter. So tried again but keeping it in a pot. This bad boy has been a riot of flowers for such a long time. 😆🌱

Probably the last Passion flower for this year... opened on Tuesday 27th & fully opened on Wednesday 28th November in Dublin's cool winter sunshine. 🌱

On a trip to Donegal (my 1st break in 4 years mix of Covid & being a full time carer for elderly parent). Absolutely loving every minute. Such landscapes & vistas. Melmore Head is epic. Glenveagh is stunning this time of year, previously been here in summer. Everyone encountered - just lovely. 😍💚💛
