Former car bloke for Jaguar Land Rover and Dobby the house Elf to an ultra wealthy type. Supposed to be retired.
At say, 50k miles plus it gets a bit sticky on the "wear and tear" front.

True. But some manufacturers can also be quite brutal when push comes to shove on the claim front.

Yes. If you have to get a power battery out of warranty, you are looking at 17 - 33k.

EV's work as smaller, runabouts are great. Long haul and/ or towing - diesel. With adblue, a DPF and 50 plus mpg. Always slightly bemused by lecky cars doing 60mph up the Mike Six and sh**ting themselves going up Shap and Beattock.

This is the issue. Support for these, erm ... types that promote reform are from the intellectually (and probably morally) challenged cohorts. The sort of people that proved successful for a certain German in 1934.

That's what I thought. Gaddafi was actually not that bad. He was no Saint by a long chalk, but he was never at the Trump level of moronish-ness

You are right. Jag should not
have gone down the "me too" route. That said, the XE is/was a wholly underrated car, the XF needed work but on the right track, the F Type brilliant and the F Pace pointless. As to the E Pace... a pogo stick on wheels.

I asked the Jag bloke, when they sent around a guy introducing this to dealerships: "What if you are wrong?" Jag bloke was totally baffled.

In America, only people with dangerous jobs need guns. Police, traffic wardens, security types and, erm ...... school teachers.....

A lot of money, no doubt, for a car and you don't even get an engine.

Mate, the Good Lord put youse Septics on voicemail ages ago. Your country is a joke, your president is a sad joke and your government, such as it is, is a worthless joke.

BMW may be better off finishing their recall so that the turn indicators on their cars work.

No one expects the reform inquisition!

I can assure you that I will not be inviting anyone from the US embassy to dinner. Not even for a cup of tea.
December 13, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Reform never intended to run anything, yet. It is basically designed as an income stream for failed Conservatives and relies for support on the intellectually challenged.... which is why they are (expletive deleted) dangerous.

I would say most speak Scottish. A language the English can only handle with limited ability.

You had better be poking the bear with a very, very large and very, very long pole.
