I’ve now raised a formal grievance, with Union & ACAS support. It’s been exhausting, draining, & has affected every part of my life but I’m still standing, just about.

That meeting blindsided me: failings I’d never been told of, my adjustments used against me. I left traumatised & suicidal. I appealed & won again, as it was found procedurally flawed.

While all this was going on, work became very difficult. I was given a disability-related absence warning, appealed, & won. But the next day I was hit with a Stage 2 performance meeting, skipping Stage 1 entirely.

At the same time, I’ve had new physical health issues that leave me fatigued & less mobile. I’m also being tested for sleep apnoea (NHS waits are 54+ weeks).

To complicate things, I’m in the small % where ADHD meds just… stop working. I’m now waiting in a long queue before I can trial a new one, which makes everything harder.

In 2023 I was re-diagnosed with ADHD. In March this year, I was also diagnosed Autistic. Since then I’ve been unmasking, learning how I really function, & dealing with the burnout that came from years of masking.
