Resident Linux hater here - how come you guys are smart enough to tell me that I'm missing some dependancy or typed the command wrong but can't program the app to get that dependancy *for me* or tell me how to type the command? Even Windows got better about it and you know how MS can be like.

Life finds a way to surprise me as always, but I have been able to find a good deal of resources related to "Mystery Dungeon" like games. Now just need to find some time to filter it all through and see where the best gems are at!

Yea so I've been researching the topic of "Mystery Dungeon" and "Fatal Labyrinth"-like games and I keep being surprised by the finds. Not sure if I'll be able to track down all of the games matching the playstyle, there seems to be a lot of 'em.

I might be mistaken but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info on "Mystery Dungeon"-like games out there. Guess that comes with the territory when you're searching for lesser known stuff.

You guys ever work on a project and just get hit with a "this is stupid, nobody cares, why am I wasting my time on this?" kinda moodswing? Been getting a lot of that lately.

I've been slowly digging through my collection of demo disks from the old Game.EXE magazine. There's a lot of cool stuff in there, I imagine the magazine itself was rad as hell to read back in the day.

I'm in Lithuania now for a couple weeks. Feels great.

Not sure about the festivities but I am very much looking forward to crashing on a couch this Christmas, especially with my laptop. I foresee many sweet naps with schnapps.

Was curious to see what the Lithuanian feeds are like here and it was...well, decidedly not Lithuanian. Gonna stay clear from that.

My colleague was just telling me he used to do some coding while I was watching him struggle to navigate some folders on the work PC. Something wasn't adding up in his story so I asked what OS he was using. Turns out he's a Mac kid, no surprises then that he's struggling with Windows.

Well, today was decent enough I suppose. Picked up a few games from the autumn sale on steam and seemingly annoyed some sort of an RTS purist? Odd fella, he didn't like that I was playing RA3 against bots instead of doing 1v1 pvp matches. Just more reasons I don't do multiplayer with strangers.

Anyway enough of pessimism for now - I've had a serious itching for a cRPG lately and have been playing Arcanum. Still holds up amazingly despite its history and that of mine with the game when it first came out. My current character ended up turning into a gentleman thief by accident lol.

Speaking of social media platforms, what even is the point of them? From my point of view, which is from beneath a rock, there doesn't seem to be much of anything good about it. I'm clearly missing something but I don't get what. They just make me feel more lonely.

With the death of Cohost as a platform, I wonder what this one's gonna do to keep itself afloat.
