I needed a break from endless stockinette, so I grabbed a Hook Line & Tinker kit a couple of days ago. I have plans for a black & white gallery wall, so I swapped the floss for black sashiko thread. It doesn’t split as nicely as floss, but I’m happy with my results!

Does this happen to any other crafters? Bad news is coming. There will be grief. There’s nothing to do but wait. Suddenly all your works in progress lose all their appeal, and you go down a rabbit hole of a new craft.

Sitting in a cafe in Lunenburg sipping a themed latte on my first single Valentine’s Day in 8 years. Thinking about change, about who I was last time I sat in this cafe over two years ago with my dad and stepmom, in a cottagecore dress the day after my wedding. I’m proud of my always-evolving self.

Swatch for the Heirloom Quilt Cardigan by Katryn Seeburger. I ended up switching to knitting groups of squares in the round with steek panels between them. Also changed from holding that chartreuse double to holding it with a brushed alpaca in the same colour.
