He could have been mistaken for a gorgeous statue carved from shiny stone, but the pure rage that burned in his dark eyes made him look terrifyingly alive... as did the tentacles that his lower body melted into, the same tentacles that threatened to crush his boat as if it was made of tinfoil. Some dark corner of Stede’s mind suggested that maybe he should breathe. He couldn’t pay it much attention.
