Hobgoblins. I have seen it so many times because it contains everything that I SHOULD love in a cheesy B flick and each time I was disappointed. And then time passes and I go "I probably would like it now" so I watch it and then I'm disappointed again. There is something wrong with my brain.

Nah, that was only an option in more populated areas. Instead where I was you'd go down to a hole in the wall store next to the crack alley and pay out the nose for it. Paid ~$400 for Evangelion over the course of a year. Worth it. People nowadays don't know how EXPENSIVE media used to be.

It's not quite as dumb as when Sherlock fans were doing the same thing because Netflix could actually do it and have it work out (in a different situation). But still super dumb. Currently taking bets on if the conspiracy will pop back up in July.

If it helps every generation I've seen has done similar things. Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Zoomers, and Gen Alpha all cherry pick parts from the past that they consider the "true" past.

Evangelion was 2 episodes per tape. It cost about $400CAD to watch Evangelion in the 90s here. There is a reason I had the whole series memorized at one point.

I honestly see 60% people complaining about 6-7, 20% people defending it, 15% people using it ironically, and 5% people using it genuinely.

Man, I still have like (checks notes) 485 games to play before I get the chance to check out Popful Mail. It was nice to see someone talking about it in a manner other than "Check out how expensive this game is".
