Glad I'm not the only one who felt this way. I dropped out after 9 because it was so fcking nonsensical, and so far nothing I've seen on social media has given me desire to go back aside from Kokoro's focal episodes.
I'm gonna see the thing in full in February but I'm not feeling happy about it.

My pleasure. Kirarin powers in general are really underutilized, as you've seen in the latest post, and I really hate that because it's a very versatile moveset XDDD

Only once, it was only ever used in the Tsuchinoko episode, 27 (but by all the Cures so it counts as 4, hence not in last place). Wasted potential.
You're probably thinking of when 3 Cures were forcibly downsized by the Kirarin Hamster Garugaru in 19, but that's not them using a Kirarin power.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I tried three new MG anime in last year's fall season and Magilumière was the only one that stuck with me, in part because one of the two leads had a really wild and laid-back personality (also they're all adults who do it as their actual job).

Additionally, frankly, Princession's disappointed me on the fighting front? It's better than something like Maho Tsukai or Star Twinkle but I think Healin' Good and DeliPa had better fights, there's a lot of stillframes and basic shots too.

It does have fighting still, Wonderful remains the exception, as simplistic as the Idol ones are they are there.
I don't condone the make up either XDD I am also not a fan of the direction Precure's taken, I agree with you there

As someone who has watched all of Precure, and with the caveat that we did only just get all the Princesses together...
No it's a lot like modern Precure too, I dunno why you would make the distinction. Like maybe the fights are higher quality but the archetypes and the tropes are pretty similar
