Update! I now have car insurance! It's not the most sexy of steps, but it's still vital in order for me to actually get a truck. Next is just... the big hurdle...

I have things roughly priced to cover the cost of a truck, a dolly for my car, and gas for the trip. It's... not cheap, but at this point my options are effectively nil. This is where I must turn to others for help...

The bad news is that Vivail lives in New Jersey, and I live in Illinois. While I have put just about all of my furniture up for sale, I'm not sure how long it will be before that is sold, and it won't be enough to cover the cost to get what's left + my car across a third of the US.

The good news is that I'm not totally up a creek. My long time partner, @vivail.bsky.social has offered for me to move in with her. This would be amazing for about a million reasons, none the least of which is that we would be living together, a long-held dream of ours.
