The older I get, the more I realize some people (especially conservatives) have absolutely nothing to offer me as human beings. No intellectual stimulation, no emotional support, nothing.

I think one of the most insidious aspects of the right wing appeal to minorities in the US is that somehow we need to choose to be "American" (which for some reason they've decided is means citizens of the USA to the exclusion of all of the rest of the Americas) rather than embracing our heritage.

I'm not sure how I feel about using Reagan's words to show how hypocritical Trump's trade policy is given the Republican obsession with that era and the past in general. I'm not trying to crap on the dead but the more I learn about the man the less I think of him.
