If he’s mentioned anything specifically I’d get those. A lot of the recent releases on the JP side are good if you can find them (SharkScale, EmperorMight, PegasisBlast for examples).

Some accessories may also be good like the launcher grip, or custom 3D printed deckboxes you can look up.

The string launcher is easier to maneuver but is less intuitive initially. The winder launcher gets power more consistently to start with but because it sticks out it’s harder to position with.

SharkScale is a JP release at the moment so you may need to look into where to order. Check Suruga-ya but amazon jp also works. The string launcher is good but both it and winder have pros and cons.

There is no best launcher it’s just a matter of preference between winder and string. Wizard Rod and Shark Scale are the best beyblades to get because they can be customized in a lot of ways to outperform over other options, so building a collection out from those is a good idea.

Beyblade came back last year with Beyblade X. The world tournament ran this year in October. It’s really fun and there is also a big unofficial tournament scene worldwide: worldbeyblade.org/Forum-Beybla...

Go here, look up events near you. There are a lot of adults in tournaments too so don’t worry about age lol.

Get someone who yearns for you so badly that they manifest a delusion to “become one with you” when you decide to join another team.

Sometimes players may also loan parts too!

So long as you keep track of what you actually like and don’t go wild on buying everything, you can build a strong deck with a budget that is on par or lower than trading card games.

For the west I think 80 -120$ is a good start.

It gets a soft reboot every once in a while with the newest line, X coming out about two years ago. I recommend it (the dub is really nice) if that interests you. There’s more of a sports aspect to it this time around.

It’s really big right now. On the unofficial org for it there have been like 500+ events over the last two years world wide and there was also a world championship in october. It’s really fun though.

Ah ok. You could try hosting a learn to play session then! It would be a neat ice breaker for sure.

Always good to check beforehand. If you’re running an event you could see if they could help you promote it too.

It’s more for fun because custom beys aren’t allowed in official events, though there are places that support unofficial beys, and a lot of spaces in the west support custom accessories with a few limitations since officially there aren’t as many this gen.

It’s ok, the competitive scene is niche in the west but it’s picked up with the newest line, beyblade X. There was a world championship in October and Cloud9 has also started to collab with it.

There’s a tier list but you can also do well by playing around matchups with combo building and launch techs.
